  • 500 g Mehl Type 550 All-purpose flour can be used as a substitute
  • 7 g Trockenhefe Ensure yeast is fresh for best results
  • 60 g Zucker Granulated sugar is typically used
  • 1 tsp Salz Enhances flavor
  • 2 pieces Eier Use large eggs
  • 180 ml lauwarmen Milch Milk should be warm to the touch
  • 80 g weiche Butter Butter should be soft but not melted
Füllung
  • 80 g weiche Butter Spread evenly over the dough
  • 120 g brauner Zucker Brown sugar provides a rich flavor
  • 2 tbsp gemahlener Zimt Cinnamon should be fresh for best taste
Glasur
  • 150 g Frischkäse Cream cheese should be soft for easy mixing
  • 80 g Puderzucker Sifted powdered sugar will prevent lumps
  • 2 tbsp Milch Adjust for desired consistency
  • 1 tsp Vanilleextrakt Pure vanilla extract is recommended

Method
 

  1. Combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Add eggs, milk, and butter, mixing until a dough forms. Knead for 10 minutes.
  2. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  3. Roll out the dough and spread with butter. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Roll the dough into a log and cut into 12 pieces. Place in a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 25 minutes.
  6. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread over warm rolls.
