- 250g ground sausage
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp fresh orange juice
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tbsp salt
- 1/4 tbsp black pepper
- 200g tater tots
- 100g cream cheese (like ricotta or mascarpone)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 large eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Sauté the onion in olive oil until translucent.
- Add the ground sausage and cook until browned.
- Stir in Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- In another pan, cook the tater tots over low heat until golden brown.
- In a separate bowl, mix the cream cheese, eggs, parsley, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Add the sausage mixture to the bowl and combine thoroughly.
- Pour the sausage mixture into the cream cheese mixture and stir until well combined.
- Gently fold in the cooked tater tots.
- Pour the entire mixture into a baking dish and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
