Ingredients
Scale
- 300g pizza dough (soft wheat flour)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tbsp minced garlic
- 250g sliced turkey breast
- 200g sliced button mushrooms
- 100g vegetarian bacon (substitute for turkey ham)
- 100g mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- Fresh herbs, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the pizza dough: Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F). While the oven heats, start preparing the pizza dough.
- Mix together the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the olive oil and minced garlic, mixing until the mixture is homogeneous.
- Add water and knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rest for 10 minutes. This step is crucial to allow the dough to fully absorb the flour and become more elastic.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and let it rest for another 5 minutes.
- Prepare the sauce and toppings: Squeeze the tomato sauce, tomato paste, and vegetarian bacon into a large bowl.
- Add the sliced button mushrooms and the sliced turkey breast.
- Assemble and bake: Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and pour the sauce over the dough.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use high-quality pizza dough, such as “00” flour or artisanal dough.
- Feel free to substitute the turkey breast with chicken or beef, depending on preference.
- Use a gas oven for more even and consistent cooking.
- Do not overcook the dough, otherwise it will become too hard and lose its elasticity.
