Scale
- 4 slices of whole wheat bread
- 120g dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 100g rice pudding
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Prepare butter-sugar mixture: In a small saucepan, gently heat the almond butter, honey, and brown sugar. Stir in the cinnamon and salt until well combined.
- Prepare the bread: Cut the bread slices into smaller, bite-sized pieces. You can lightly toast them for 2-3 minutes if desired.
- Assemble: Spread the butter-sugar mixture on some of the bread pieces.
- Prepare egg-chocolate mixture: In a bowl, whisk the egg with the rice pudding and the dark chocolate cut into small pieces.
- Final assembly: Take the bread pieces with the butter-sugar mixture and dip them into the egg-chocolate mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
- Bake: Arrange the coated bread pieces on a baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the chocolate is melted and the bites are slightly golden.
- Cool slightly: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
